Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a field service technician to install, service, and repair electromechanical equipment across a defined territory. You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnose hardware and software issues, and manage network access and remote connectivity.

The role requires driving, weekend shifts, and occasional overnight travel, with a focus on safe, professional customer interactions and adherence to health and safety standards. Training is provided.

Qualifications

  • Local candidate to the specific geographic area.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least 19 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets NCR Atleos fleet requirements.
  • PC skills, basic electronic skills, and operating system familiarity.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged travel with several hours of driving per day.
  • Ability to work rotating and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements manipulating objects of various sizes
  • Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software
  • A+ Certification, CompTIA, or Network+ Certification (preferred)
  • One (1) or more years of related experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform customer installations, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
  • Service and repair electromechanical equipment, including ATMs and self-checkout systems, within an assigned territory.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, corrective repairs, and system overhauls.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving hardware, software, networking, and system configurations.
  • Manage network faults, system access, security settings, and remote connectivity.
  • Organize and triage customer issues, addressing problems proactively when possible.
  • Communicate with customers in an open, helpful, and professional manner focused on resolution.
  • Participate in virtual and hands-on training programs.
  • Comply with company policies, Code of Conduct, health and safety standards, accurate timekeeping, fleet and safe driving requirements.
  • Perform other related duties consistent with qualifications and business needs.
  • Potentially support adjacent service territories during standard shifts.
  • Optionally participate in overnight travel assignments to support broader service coverage.
