Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field service technician to perform installation, maintenance, and service calls for electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, across a designated territory in the United States. You will respond to customer needs, troubleshoot, and provide effective solutions while coordinating travel and scheduling.

Core duties include preventive maintenance, system overhauls, and service/replacements of networking gear such as access points and switches.

Job description

• Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively

• Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls
• Act as a first-line response to customers
• Communicate with customers to identify and provide the right solution
• Organize and triage customer issues

• Complete formal training to support customer needs
• Service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches

Requirements

• Local candidate to specific geographic area
• Authorized to work in the US
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements
• PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prolonged travel, driving several hours per day
• Availability for rotating and weekend shifts
• Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays
• Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects
• Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts in retail environments
