Job summary

Crane Payment Innovations (a part of Crane NXT) seeks a Field Service Technician I to service South Cook County/DuPage County and surrounding areas, including Lake County IN. The role focuses on servicing, upgrading, and preventative maintenance of coin and currency equipment, ATMs, software, and related devices at client sites.

You will travel predominantly by vehicle, working with branch teams to ensure timely responses and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Technical/Field Service or similar technical role.
• Impeccable integrity and professional conduct.
• Access to secured environments; licenses may be required depending on territory/accounts.
• Strong electromechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Service, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on electromechanical equipment.
• Travel daily by vehicle to client sites (90%), overnight travel may occur (10%).
• Collaborate with branch sales and other service teams to meet client needs.
• Address customer service requests within contract response times.
• Support on-call Duty and extended hours when applicable.
• Maintain vehicle parts inventory and ensure equipment readiness.
