Job Description

This is a remote position with travel up to 90% of the time. Ideal candidate should live close to a US airport.
Our airport team works a variety of alternate shifts including nights/weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base salary range for this position is $46,480 - $69,025, determined by experience, skill set, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs, and other factors. POSITION SUMMARY:

This role primarily supports SICK Services and Products across North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent customer service by managing expectations effectively.
  • Support various Service Organization programs.
  • Build support structures and install SICK equipment using hand tools and basic construction knowledge.
  • Make electrical connections and configure SICK products using laptops and software.
  • Perform onsite commissioning, start-up support, monitor equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace SICK equipment.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Prepare accurate service reports, timecards, and travel expenses.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Two-year college degree, technical school, or equivalent experience required. Four-year degree is preferred.
  • 0–3 years of field service experience.

Other Qualifications:

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 85%.
  • Available for alternative schedules including weekends, nights, and on-call hours.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.

POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Complete logistics automation product boot camp and all assigned SICK training.
  • Install, test, and commission at least two fixed depth of field scanners, two auto-focus scanners, and two CDM module systems.
  • Working knowledge of SOPAS and CLV Setup software, with ability to write simple evaluation conditions.
  • Ability to read CAD designs, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Complete administrative tasks like expense reports and daily reports.
  • Assemble scanner systems and work effectively with senior technicians.
