Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a Service Technician I to perform basic maintenance on gas compression packages under direct supervision. You will learn to service, troubleshoot, install, and commission both gas-fired and electric-driven compressors in the field.

This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a willingness to travel, and the ability to work with a team to support emergency services and on-site preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with some vocational training preferred.
• 3–5 years of applicable experience in maintenance or field service.
• Must have proof of CAT Gas I/II, CAT Electrical, Ariel Basic and Ariel Mechanical, and Waukesha GE certifications.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical testing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical abilities with capability to perform complex service tasks.
• Owner of basic trade tools, with exceptions for OEM-specific diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Represent Enerflex professionally and provide outstanding customer service.
• Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, and timesheets daily.
• Assist in diagnosing engine/compressor failures and in timely rebuilds/overhauls.
• Support installation, commissioning and start-up inspections of gas compressor packages.
• Carry out mechanical inspection using micrometers, gauges and diagnostic equipment.
• May travel across multiple states, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
