Job summary

Securitas Technology is seeking a field technician to respond to trouble tickets, diagnose and resolve issues, and perform on-site software upgrades and preventative maintenance. The role requires familiarity with low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems, with preferred ESA/NTS certifications.

Excellent problem solving and communication skills are essential. The technician will work with a team to ensure high system availability, documentation, and configuration

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control, burglary and fire alarm systems.
• ESA Certified Alarm Technician/ NTS Certified Service Technician certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues individually and as a team.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults.
• Perform routine configuration changes (user permissions, application configuration, etc.).
• Document all system modifications through a digital change control tracking system.
• Produce quality technical documentation describing the conceptual and quantitative facets of system deployment, intended for both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Perform pre-deployment end to end testing of all upgrades and major modifications.
• Perform on site installations of software upgrades and major modifications.
