Job summary

MI-JACK PRODUCTS in Savannah, GA is seeking a field service technician to install, repair and maintain heavy lift equipment outdoors. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and travel to customer sites in the U.S.

and Canada to provide training and service. The role requires 5–10 years of experience, a high school diploma, ability to read schematics, cross-border travel, and a safety minded approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 5–10 years in service and repair of industrial equipment.
• Field certificates and endorsements reviewed; capable of reading variable schematic logic for low/high voltage electrical and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors on heavy lift equipment: gantry cranes, railjacks, forklifts, welders, service trucks.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment – electrical, hydraulic, diesel and mechanical.
• Provide training and technical knowledge on full range of equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
• Support customers by interfacing with customer and internally as needed.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
• Provide clear work order documentation and reports when needed.
• Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations for zero incidents.
• Assist in delivering required training to coworkers.
• Special projects or work as assigned.
• Travel domestically and internationally, including to customer sites in Canada.
