Zusammenfassung

Wabtec seeks a Field Services Technician to troubleshoot and train customers on Roadway Work Equipment at customer sites. You will install new machines, train customers, and repair existing equipment, ensuring proper operation while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 5+ years as an industrial/mobile heavy equipment mechanic, travel of 70–80%, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll collaborate with Customers, Sales, and Engineering to drive service quality and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial or mobile heavy equipment mechanic.
• Associate’s degree a plus
• PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting training strongly preferred
• General mechanical experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems including the ability to read schematics
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Requires mechanical aptitude
• Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret business documents, technical procedures, schematics.

Aufgaben

• Recommends repair parts and product improvements to customers.
• Advises and trains customers on proper maintenance and operation of Nordco equipment.
• Prepares weekly travel expense records and field reports as required.
• Works with engineering and/or production to solve problems with new machines.
• Makes positive contributions towards continuous improvement of equipment and processes.
• Ability to work independently and achieve effective rapport with customers.
