Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Field Service professional to service road equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, repair and train customers on new and existing Nordco equipment, and help bring machines into service with proper operation.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy equipment maintenance, strong electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic knowledge, and willingness to travel 70–80%. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years as industrial/mobile heavy equipment mechanic.
• Associate’s degree is a plus.
• PLC and/or CanBus troubleshooting training strongly preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform service, maintenance and repairs on Nordco equipment at customer sites.
• Provide training and demonstrations of new equipment to customers.
• Repair existing equipment on site and restore proper operation.
• Recommend repair parts and product improvements to customers.
• Prepare field reports and travel expense records.
