Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician - Pumps & Generators to perform preventative maintenance and on-site repairs at customer job sites in Memphis, TN. You will diagnose and repair heavy equipment, troubleshoot fuel and hydraulic systems, and educate customers on proper use to prevent future breakdowns.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, own a set of tools, and be willing to be on call to support operations.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Ownership of sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment.
• On-call availability to support operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc owned fleet at long term customer job sites.
• Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and services.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to maintain proper operating condition on site.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
