Job summary

Plug Power Inc. Field Service Technician will support fuel cell products installed in electric lift trucks, performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns. The role includes installation and servicing at a location, reporting breakdown events, parts ordering and site documentation.

The candidate should have strong technical, communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to travel as required while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Lift truck knowledge preferred.
• Computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication; independent work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades on fuel cells.
• On-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Procure tools, equipment, and parts for service as needed.
• Travel to customer sites for service requirements.
