Job summary

Towlift Oakland is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial vehicles at customer sites. You will perform routine maintenance and breakdown repairs, manage field work orders, and ensure safety and accuracy in all paperwork.

Responsibilities include diagnosing breakdowns, operating metalworking tools, scheduling maintenance, quoting services, and keeping customers informed. A valid driver's license and 2+ years in a service role are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a service technician role.
• Experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics; ability to interpret schematics.
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot customer breakdowns; provide proper repairs to minimize downtime.
• Set up and operate metalworking tools to make/repair parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and replace defective parts; lubricate and repair electrical equipment.
• Inspect used parts for changes in factory specifications.
• Review repairs and maintenance with customers; handle field quoting & services.
• Use Mobile Service app to close the day, file work orders, collect signatures, and mark jobs complete.
• Provide daily status updates to dispatchers and account manager.
