Job summary

Towlift Inc. in Brooklyn Heights, OH is seeking an Experienced Field Service Forklift Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial vehicles at customer sites.

You will prioritize work orders, perform maintenance, and ensure safe, on-time service while upholding our safety standards. The role requires 3+ years in diesel mechanics or field service, hydraulics and diagnostics experience, a valid license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a diesel mechanic or service technician role.
• Experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics; ability to interpret schematics.
• Valid Driver’s License with driving record acceptable to insurance.
• Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; adherence to company core values.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot customer breakdowns; provide proper repairs to minimize equipment downtime and prepare on-site estimates.
• Set up and operate metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspect and replace defective parts, lubricate, and repair electrical equipment.
• Inspect used parts to verify they meet factory specifications.
• Review repair work and maintenance results with customers; provide on-site quotes.
• Use Mobile Service app to close the day, fill out work orders, obtain customer signatures, and mark jobs complete.
• Provide daily status updates to dispatchers and address customer issues with the account manager.
