Job summary

Towlift, Inc. is seeking a skilled Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial vehicles such as forklifts, railcar movers, container handlers, and terminal tractors in customer sites.

You will perform routine maintenance, manage parts, and ensure safety and accurate documentation. Candidate must have 2+ years of field service experience, hydraulics and diagnostics skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a service technician role.
• Experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics; ability to read and apply schematic diagrams.
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot customer breakdowns; provide proper repairs to minimize downtime and prepare estimates for on-site repairs.
• Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and replace defective parts, lubricate, inspect electrical equipment.
• Inspect used parts for changes in factory specifications.
• Review repair work with customers and communicate services; handle field quotes and status updates.
• Close days in Mobile Service app, obtain signatures, finalize jobs, and mark complete.
• Provide daily status updates to dispatchers and account managers.
