Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician for work at various retail locations across the United States.

Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and repairing IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion, and LAN/WAN infrastructure. The ideal candidate will hold a CT electrical journeyperson license, have field experience in security environments, and be comfortable with day and some night shifts.

Qualifications

• State of Connecticut C6 ELECTRICAL LIMITED JOURNEYPERSON
• Field installation experience in security environments (Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Access Control)
• NICET certification preferred
• Current/valid state Physical Security and/or Life Safety licenses
• Knowledgeable about NFPA 70/72
• Blueprints/site maps reading
• Willingness to travel regionally and perform day/night shifts
• Proficient in basic office tools and email communication

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment for IP Video, Access Control/Intrusion, and LAN/WAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings; drill walls; limited conduit bending.
• Ensure wiring/terminations meet customer and contractual requirements.
• Install or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels with plans and layouts.
• Mount sensors, access crawlspaces, attics; perform required tasks.
• Test systems to confirm operation and compliance with codes.
• Adhere to safety requirements; participate in on-site and remote support.
• Collaborate with team leads for schedules and timely delivery of equipment.
