Job summary

Voith US Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I in Appleton, WI. The role involves installing fiber systems equipment at customer sites and performing repairs at Voith facilities.

You will report to the MW micro-enterprise Service Department and work under the manager of the Service department. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience in installation work in the paper industry, with strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related experience.
• Experience in installation work in the paper industry.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, control schematics and bills of materials.
• Strong communication and customer relations skills.
• Capable of working independently and following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment at customer sites and repair equipment in Voith facility.
• Provide a safe work environment in the field and heighten safety awareness.
• Collaborate with customer personnel to plan onsite work.
• Participate in installation discussions, in house or at customer site.
• Travel frequently within North America; occasional international travel.
