Job summary

Voith Paper in Appleton, WI, is seeking an Assembly Repair Mechanic (Millwright I) to support repair, rebuild, and assembly of rotating industrial equipment used in paper manufacturing. The role suits candidates with millwright, mechanical assembly, or industrial maintenance experience and a hands-on, troubleshooting mindset.

You will work in an industrial shop performing tear-downs, reassembly, and measurements, with growth toward a multi-skill industrial mechanic role.

Responsibilities

Tear down rotating assemblies and mechanical equipment to diagnose failures
Assemble machines and rotating components back to OEM condition
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Measure bearing clearances and shaft diameters using micrometers and Romer Arm
Move, align, and install machinery using hoists, cranes, forklifts, dollies, and rollers
Operate hand tools, power tools, lift trucks, and industrial equipment
Use large bearing pullers, torches, and perform light TIG welding as needed
Troubleshoot equipment reliability and performance issues
Document findings and repair activities clearly and accurately
Support installation work at mill sites if or when required
