Job summary

TDS Telecom seeks a Field Service Technician in Pequot Lakes, MN to install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications equipment at customer sites. You will interact with customers, identify needs, and promote TDS services and products such as internet and voice solutions.

This role requires driving within 60 minutes of the Pequot Lakes warehouse, occasional travel, and on-call duties. Training, safety, and DOT compliance are required, and a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be available for on-call/standby responsibilities and may require occasional travel.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must complete Safety Course curriculum and maintain DOT requirements.
• A+ certification and computer networking experience.
• Demonstrated customer service and sales skills with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, test, splice, repair, and maintain field equipment at customer sites.
• Identify defective cables and locate underground/facility issues while following safety rules.
• Provide troubleshooting support and respond to dispatches.
• Educate customers about TDS products and services to drive sales.
• Maintain knowledge of field standards and grounding practices.
