Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Field Service Technician III to maintain a reliable network including central office, fiber, and customer premises equipment. The role involves installation, maintenance, and upgrades of telephony, data, and video services with occasional on-call duties.

The position emphasizes customer service, solution selling, and teamwork across projects. Candidates should reside within 30 minutes of Monticello or Winsted, MN, and be prepared for travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years technical telecommunications experience or equivalent military service.
• 1+ year of basic fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing and repair, installation and repair, or switch training.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must follow attendance guidelines to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, tests, splices, repairs, and maintains telephone and network equipment for customers.
• Installs, configures, maintains, and repairs central office equipment and related systems.
• Provides advanced troubleshooting support and responds to trouble dispatches.
• Delivers high level support for record systems and network elements.
• Educates and sells TDS products and services to customers and identifies sales opportunities.
• Performs project management for system installation and related tasks.
