Job summary

SwissQprint America in West Dundee, IL, seeks a field service technologist to install, commission, maintain, and repair our high-precision printers across the U.S. You will travel extensively, providing remote support when off-site and keeping demo printers ready at the Elgin, IL facility.

The role requires a strong mechanical/electrical background and a customer-focused mindset. Living near the facility or relocating and holding a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical foundation; printer installation/service experience is a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a professional, customer-friendly tone.
• Live near our facilities or be willing/able to relocate; hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the U.S. 40%–75% to install, commission, maintain, and repair swissQprint systems.
• Provide remote hotline assistance via phone, email, and TeamViewer.
• Restore trade-in equipment and keep demo printers show-ready at our Elgin, IL location.
• Collaborate with 2nd-level support and engineering teams in Switzerland to drive product improvements.
• Handle service documentation and administrative steps for seamless processes and reporting.
• Pursue continual learning to maintain and expand technical qualifications.
