Job summary

Strong Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide customers with technical support, preventive maintenance, installations, site surveys, and emergency services for digital cinema equipment.

You will perform maintenance on cinema projection equipment, digital signage, sound systems, and related hardware, while developing and executing service plans and documenting field activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with electronics related to the Pro-Av market
• Familiarity with computer and networking concepts and architecture
• Experience with digital cinema equipment is preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient with MS Office
• This position requires a valid, state issued driver’s license
• Ability to stand, sit, squat and bend for a period of time
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Comfortable working in a high-stress, face-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
• Self-starter who can find and resolve issues as they are identified
• Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on cinema projection equipment, digital signage, sound systems, servers, and power supplies, etc.
• Provides demand service for customers; determines and executes a support plan
• Tests electronic assembly, components or parts by connecting to various equipment
• Examines equipment and assemblies for defects and replaces defective components. Repairs equipment and performs field testing.
• Directs investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products
• Records, analyzes, and inform appropriate personnel of production quality, and sales departments of status and disposition of customer complaints and claims utilizing written and electronic reporting
• Installs electronic or digital equipment and tests
• Records activities in Field Point daily, including but not limited to work description, expenses, hours, labor and travel
• Willing to take ownership and take on other duties as assigned
• This position requires in and out of market travel up to 70-80% of the time; this position also requires the ability to work weekends, holidays and on-call
