The Audiovisual Field Service Technician's primary role is the repair and maintenance of integrated audiovisual systems and managing customer relationships.
Job Duties
- Interact directly with end-users to gather information necessary to resolve system issues effectively and efficiently.
- Utilize knowledge of equipment and documentation to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain installed audiovisual systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain installed audiovisual systems according to company best practices and industry standards.
- Complete service tickets documenting all findings, actions, and results.
- Provide preventative maintenance services for various project types and locations.
- Modify existing control and DSP programs as necessary.
- Assist with installations when time permits, including equipment rough-in, cable pulling, speaker rigging, projector and screen setup, rack setup, testing, cable termination, and aligning speaker systems and video projectors.

- Interest in learning new skills and technologies.
- Experience with high-end video production systems, audio systems, control systems, and production lighting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to interpret detailed one-line diagrams for installation, tuning, and troubleshooting of AV systems.
- Physical ability to climb, maneuver in confined spaces, lift 50 lbs., and carry a twelve-foot ladder.
- Proficiency with Internet, Web technologies, Microsoft Office, and related software.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards.
- Comfortable connecting and configuring AV control and signal processors.
- Willingness to travel and hold a valid driver's license.
- AVIXA CTS certification required; CTS-I preferred or in progress.
