Job summary

Ford Audio-Video (Ford AV) is seeking a Service Field Engineer to diagnose and repair commercial AV systems in the New York area. You will travel daily to client sites, use hands-on AV expertise, and provide proactive support to ensure peak performance.

Responsibilities include responding to service tickets, troubleshooting with diagnostic tools, and documenting work orders and parts used for each engagement. Strong communication and flexibility to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong troubleshooting skills for AV, low-voltage, or control systems.
• Excellent communication to explain issues and resolutions to clients.
• Able to climb ladders, carry equipment, and travel between sites.
• Familiarity with signal flow, diagnostic tools, and basic AV wiring practices.
• Experience with service tickets and job tracking tools (CRM or field service platforms).
• Programming experience with Crestron, Q-SYS, or Extron preferred.
• Prior experience installing or servicing commercial AV or electronic control systems preferred.
• CTS or manufacturer trainings preferred.
• Experience with AV hardware (Biamp, QSC, Cisco) preferred.
• Engineering/Technology degree preferred.
