Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and advanced repairs at customer locations. You will work on a variety of equipment, from aerial work platforms to generators, in challenging remote environments, with safety as a priority.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. CDL may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1–2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required in some locations.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual abilities may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose/repair at the customer's location.
• Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Develop skills for a career track in service or operation management.
• Operate safely in environments with equipment such as aerial work platforms, generators, pumps, HVAC, etc.
