Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair equipment at customer sites across our service area. You will work on a variety of makes and models in challenging remote locations, prioritizing safety and uptime.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of diesel or heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver’s license (CDL may be required in some locations). Excellent teamwork and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment based on role strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and make advanced repairs at the customer's location in the safest, most effective way to avoid downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Support a safety-focused environment and teamwork to ensure minimal downtime and reliable equipment availability.
