Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment across a variety of makes and models. You will work in challenging locations, develop new skills toward a service or operations career, and join a team focused on safety and uptime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3-5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver's license. CDL may be required in some locations. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21+; CDL may be required in some locations).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way to minimize downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment in challenging locations.
• Develop skills for a career track in service or operation management.
