Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to support startup, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of power distribution equipment. The role involves on-site customer service and remote support, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Travel across the US and Canada is required, with training at the Aurora, Ohio headquarters. The successful candidate will read diagrams, troubleshoot power systems, and document service activities in our systems.

Qualifications

• Service experience with electric power systems is required.
• Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills are required.
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics is required.
• Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards via PC-based programs is required.
• Safety awareness and electrical PPE knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment (static transfer switches, power distribution equipment, remote power panels).
• Provide customer on-site and remote support via email and phone.
• Maintain timely and detailed service records in LayerZero system.
• Provide emergency response for critical incidents.
• Coordinate with customers for site visits and 24/7 incident response.
