Job summary

CVS Health in Portland, OR is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide hands-on hardware and software support for store systems, including POS and pharmacy platforms. The role requires ability to lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, and travel between CVS locations in the Portland area.

You will perform routine maintenance, install new equipment, diagnose complex issues, and maintain service records. A company car and company phone are provided, with full-time hours and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willingness to drive between CVS locations within Portland/Lake Oswego/Oregon City OR areas.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and occasionally work on a ladder.
• Available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Delivers technical support to field employees for POS, pharmacy systems, photo kiosks, and inventory management systems.
• Performs regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates, hardware upgrades, and equipment replacements, to ensure smooth functioning of store systems.
• Integrates new technology equipment into stores, including setting up new POS terminals and configuring software.
• Conducts most complex troubleshooting, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
• Assists in maintaining records of all service calls, installations, and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborates with help desk, network engineers, and software developers.
• Provides exceptional customer service while installing, diagnosing, and solving retail equipment failures.
• Ensures IT parts, supplies, and equipment are ready by inventorying stock and placing orders.
