Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking an Associate Service Technician for commercial kitchen equipment in San Jose, CA. You will travel to customer sites to perform performance checks, installations, removals, and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment, including refrigerators, ice machines, ovens and beverage systems.

You will train customers on proper maintenance, manage time to control costs, and advance through additional licenses and certifications as you grow in your career

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness to be on call or work shifts according to customer needs.
• Occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• Immigration sponsorship is not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Leave from home each morning to perform performance checks on commercial kitchen equipment at customer sites.
• Complete in-service training for customer staff on cleaning and daily maintenance of equipment.
• Manage time and resources to control costs and meet customer commitments.
• Identify operating challenges that lead to equipment failure in restaurants, hotels, hospitals and other commercial customers.
• Attend applicable technical and manufacturer training to obtain additional licenses and certifications.
