Job summary

Jobtailor in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced NDT Field Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of Centura X-Ray equipment at customer sites or in-house. You will troubleshoot to component level, perform periodic maintenance, and interface with customers to schedule service calls.

You will provide technical support to customers and fellow technicians, train customer personnel, and ensure safety standards and accurate documentation. Travel and overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics.
• Complete understanding of Centura X-Ray products.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Willing to travel, sometimes overnight and on short notice.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of NDT equipment at customer locations or in-house.
• Troubleshoot, repair to component level when needed, and install equipment from multiple manufacturers.
• Interface with customers to schedule repair and maintenance service calls.
• Provide technical support to customers troubleshooting or repairing their own equipment.
• Partner with sales to determine replacement equipment for end-of-life equipment.
• Train customer personnel on safe equipment operation and operator maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventory and supplies for assigned warehouses.
• Submit work orders and expense reports promptly.

Job description

• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of NDT equipment at customer locations or in-house
• Troubleshoot, repair to component level when needed, and install equipment from multiple manufacturers
• Perform periodic maintenance on equipment
• Interface with customers to schedule repair and maintenance service calls
• Provide technical support to customers troubleshooting or repairing their own equipment
• Provide technical support to fellow service technicians
• Follow up with customers to ensure repairs are satisfactory and service calls met expectations
• Participate in planning equipment layout and facility requirements for installations
• Advise customers when equipment is not compliant with current safety standards
• Partner with sales to determine replacement equipment for end-of-life equipment
• Train customer personnel on safe equipment operation and operator maintenance
• Partner with the Service Coordinator to schedule workload efficiently
• Review jobs and timesheets weekly for accuracy
• Maintain accurate inventory and supplies for assigned warehouses
• Maintain valid calibration dates on diagnostic tools, meters, and equipment
• Complete and submit weekly vehicle inspection reports
• Follow appropriate safety practices
• Identify opportunities benefiting customers and the company while on job sites
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities and work areas at customer sites and warehouses
• Submit work orders and expense reports promptly
• Perform other duties as assigned
