Job summary

EO Johnson Business Technologies is seeking an on-site Field Service Technician to deliver, install, and configure office equipment at customer locations. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electronic, and networking issues, while educating customers on usage and basic troubleshooting.

Travel to customer sites within the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area and up to an hour outside of the 494/694 beltway is required. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic computer and networking knowledge.
• Experience in a customer-facing or technical service environment preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and think critically in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, and configure office equipment at customer locations.
• Perform machine setups, testing, and configuration to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and repair equipment across mechanical, electronic, networking, media, and software systems.
• Educate customers on proper usage and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to service calls and resolve on-site concerns.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for service and installation.
• Communicate with customers, call coordinators, sales teams, and internal support staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or additional solutions and refer to sales as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work environment.
• Travel regularly to customer sites within the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area and up to an hour outside of the 494/694 beltway.

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll bring technology to life delivering, setting up, and installing equipment at customer locations while diagnosing and repairing issues across mechanical, electronic, and network systems. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where no two days are the same, and where your technical expertise and service mindset directly impact customer success.

Your Role

• Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for service and installation

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required
• Ability to lift, move, and install equipment (up to 50 lbs or more as needed)
