Job summary

Insight Global is seeking Field Service Technicians to support customers across North America, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC machine tools at client sites.

The role involves frequent travel, hands-on troubleshooting, and collaboration with manufacturing teams to ensure optimal performance of advanced CNC systems.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or CNC machining experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on industrial equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Comfortable working in manufacturing environments and willing to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools at customer locations.
• Perform machine startups, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Support emergency break/fix situations where downtime affects production.
• Coordinate with manufacturing personnel, maintenance teams, and leadership.
• Document service activities and update work orders using Microsoft 365.
• Provide technical support to distributors and end users.
• Travel weekly to customer facilities across US, Canada, and Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools at customer locations
• Perform machine startups, commissioning, and preventative maintenance activities
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues
• Support emergency break/fix situations where equipment downtime affects customer production
• Work directly with manufacturing personnel, maintenance teams, and production leadership
• Document service activities and update work orders utilizing Microsoft 365 tools
• Provide technical support to distributors and end users
• Travel weekly to customer facilities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico

Required Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or CNC machining experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills on industrial equipment
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
• Comfortable working in manufacturing and industrial environments
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC machine tool experience
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Bosch, or similar industrial controls
• Previous field service, OEM, or machine tool distributor experience
• Apprenticeship, technical school, military maintenance, or mechatronics background
