Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks an Installation Technician to install, commission, and service CNC machinery and automated equipment at customer facilities. You will perform mechanical installation, alignments, and diagnostics while collaborating with engineering and service teams.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on troubleshooting across hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems, and frequent travel.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience installing, servicing, commissioning, or troubleshooting CNC machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and standard mechanical/electrical diagnostic equipment.

  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and service CNC machinery and automated equipment at customer facilities.
  • Perform mechanical installation, alignment, leveling, setup, and adjustment of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
  • Assist with machine startup, commissioning, testing, and customer acceptance.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Connect and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose basic electrical and control‑related issues and work with engineering or controls personnel when necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment modifications.
  • Identify machine performance issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Work closely with customers, engineers, controls technicians, and other field service personnel.
  • Provide customers with basic operational and maintenance guidance following installation.
  • Document service activities, installation progress, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain a professional and customer‑focused approach while working at customer facilities.
  • Follow company and customer safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Travel approximately40–50%, with individual assignments typically lasting no more than one week.

Installation Technician – CNC & Automation

The Installation Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting CNC machinery and automated equipment at customer facilities. This is a hands‑on field position for a mechanically inclined technician who enjoys working with sophisticated machinery, solving problems in the field, and interacting directly with customers.

The role requires approximately40–50% travel, with travel assignments generally limited toone week or less at a time. When not traveling, the Installation Technician will work alongside the engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to prepare equipment, troubleshoot systems, and support ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate will have previous experienceinstalling, servicing, commissioning, or troubleshooting CNC machineryand a strong mechanical background. Experience withhydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systemsis required.
