Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls across an assigned territory in the United States. The role requires handling electromechanical equipment, diagnosing issues, and delivering timely technical support while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Applicants should have a valid US work authorization, a driver’s license, and be prepared for travel, rotating shifts, and training on equipment such as scissor lifts.

Qualifications

  • Local candidate to specific geographic area.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with driving record satisfying NCR fleet requirements.
  • PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with hardware and operating systems.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged travel, driving several hours per day.
  • Availability for rotating and weekend shifts.
  • Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays.
  • Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects.
  • Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts.
  • Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software preferred.
  • A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification preferred.
  • One or more years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance work, and system overhauls.
  • Act as a first-line response to customers.
  • Communicate with customers to identify and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Organize and triage customer issues.
  • Handle problems proactively.
  • Complete formal training to provide customers with timely technical support.
