Rodney Hunt Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to service water control gates and valves at client sites across the US. The role involves travel up to 50% (with 5% international travel) and collaboration with project management, engineering, and production teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field service or technical support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics. A valid driver's license and safety-conscious mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or technical certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• 3+ years in field service, maintenance, or technical support, preferably in water treatment or industrial gate manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments.
• Eligibility to obtain US passport (required for international travel).
• Experience with electric controls, motors, and hydraulic power units is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair water control gates and valves at client locations.
• Conduct system testing, calibration, and adjustments for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to meet timelines and expectations.
• Document service visits and follow-ups in service reports.
• Ensure safety protocols and professional conduct on-site.
• Manage travel schedules and on-site tools inventory.
• Provide training and technical support to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.
