Rodney Hunt Inc is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support water control gates, valves, and actuators at client sites across the US. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable operation.

Travel up to 50% with some international trips, perform system testing, calibrations, and training for customers, and document service activities while upholding safety and quality standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 3+ years of field service, maintenance, or technical support in water/industrial gates.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Able to travel independently and manage schedules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment; work in confined spaces and at heights.
• U.S. passport for international travel.
• Experience with electric controls, motors, hydraulic power units a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair gates, valves, and actuators at client sites.
• Test, calibrate, and adjust systems for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams on equipment feedback.
• Coordinate with management to meet timelines and customer expectations.
• Support QA by understanding product specs and assisting in manufacturing.
• Modify training materials and O&M for specific equipment.
• Prepare presentations and handouts; provide customer training and support.
• Document service visits and follow-ups in service reports.
• Ensure safety protocols and company policies on-site.
• Maintain professionalism and customer service.
• Manage service tools and equipment inventory.
• Resolve site issues through cross-team collaboration.
