Job summary

Raymond West in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on repairing and servicing customer equipment, maintaining communication with customers, and upholding safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of breakdown or service experience, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years breakdown or service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair all types of equipment Raymond West sells and services.
• Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Maintain a profitable billing level.
• Follow all Service Department procedures.
• Communicate with assigned Field Supervisor.
• Complete all paperwork transactions in a timely, neat, accurate and orderly fashion.
• Communicate all options to customers before proceeding with work.
• Have the necessary tools to perform repair and scheduled service work.
• Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
• Maintain a clean and orderly (inside and outside) vehicle.
• Maintain an accurate assigned parts inventory, if applicable.
• Always represent the entire company.
• Pass Raymond Certification and re-certification if applicable.
• Maintain good working knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record as established by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Report accidents whether self or customer.
• Account for 100% of available time during working hours.
• Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Must coordinate all overtime with assigned supervisor.
• Must follow all procedures in the company’s Employee Handbook.
• Must follow safety procedures and use good judgment in regard to safety.
• Must be willing to work out of town as necessary.
• Establish a positive rapport with customers.
• Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Service Supervisors or Managers.
