Job summary

Peak Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair customer equipment across assigned sites. You will troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems, train customers on proper use, and ensure high levels of satisfaction through proactive communication and timely issue resolution.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in field service, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Electromechanical Technology or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and experience will be considered.
• 2–5 years of field service, equipment repair, technical support, electronics, IT, or related experience preferred.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and operating procedures.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows applications and mobile service technologies.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territories and work outside normal hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer equipment per standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment testing to maximize performance.
• Diagnose issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Assemble, configure, and prepare equipment for installation.
• Provide technical support via phone, remote, or onsite service.
• Deliver customer training and equipment demonstrations.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers on status and ETA.
• Develop positive relationships with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare repair quotations and service recommendations as needed.
• Identify opportunities for service agreements, upgrades, and parts.
• Maintain service records, time reporting, and expenses.
• Manage inventory, tools, and service parts per policy.
• Coordinate and prioritize service activities to meet requirements.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and stay current with products.
• Comply with safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
