Job summary

Aventiv is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain, repair, and install telecommunications and networking gear across San Bernardino County, with frequent travel between locations and up to 200 miles daily.

The role also supports tablet and kiosk devices, provides customer training, and ensures inventory and on-site administration for a reliable, compliant service at correctional facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of installation, repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS and wireless tech.
• Telephony experience including cable pulling and terminations up to 100 pair.
• Experience with network cabling standards (Cat3/5/6).

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, programs and installs telecommunications hardware and networking equipment.
• Travel within San Bernardino County to resolve issues.
• Provide administrative support and inventory management.
• Educate and train customers on Securus products.
• Assist with site surveys, pre-bid meetings, and sales conferences.
• Wiring installation and troubleshooting.
