Job summary

RES Group is seeking a Field Service Technician II – Solar BESS with travel, to support senior technicians in operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities. You will work on solar panels, trackers, and power inverters, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

You will troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on AC/DC power systems, follow LOTO and JHA processes, and coordinate with stakeholders. A strong safety mindset and willingness to travel 76-100% are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance on power systems.
• Knowledge of high, medium and low voltage electrical systems and drawings.
• Ability to use CMMS and electrical tools such as multimeters and IR cameras.
• Compliance with OSHA, JHA and lockout-tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior field technicians with operating and maintaining solar facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on AC/DC power systems and components.
• Troubleshoot low/high voltage electrical systems and asset performance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables; use CMMS to log work.
• Interface with owners, manufacturers, subcontractors; maintain safety and quality.
