Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Field Service Technician I in Williston, North Dakota. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing frac and drilling equipment at customer sites, with on-call responsibilities and a focus on safety and quality service.

You will work from Caterpillar facilities and travel to job sites as needed, performing diagnostics, repairs, and documentation while upholding company safety standards and providing excellent customer support.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn operating and maintenance procedures.
• One to two years of experience or relevant training in field service.
• Must be authorized to operate a company vehicle and have a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and repair frac and drilling equipment at customer locations.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring operability and safety.
• Prepare organized field service documentation and reporting.
• Follow safety policies and site safety protocols; perform pre-checks on equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service during field interactions.
• Be available for 24-hour on-call support; work in shop when not in field.
