Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Field Technician to support start-up commissioning, integration, and emergency service for 480VAC electrical bus duct systems. The role requires hands-on experience with iMPB, HPB, TOB, metering communications, and strong safety awareness.

You will interact with customers, schedule management, and provide timely reporting, while maintaining compliance with all safety policies. Travel to customer sites and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASMET certification or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of hands-on electrical environment experience.
• Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.
• Basic knowledge with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Foster a Customer-First Mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC iMPB, HPB, TOB and communications.
• Establish, promote and maintain rapport with customers, co-workers, and sales representatives.
• Evaluate the operating conditions of equipment.
• Interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Manage your own schedule with motivation.
• Respond to emergency calls at customer's request.
• Provide a first-time fix where possible.
• Provide accurate and timely communication to customers and teammates.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety policies and laws.
• Report timecards and expense reports accurately and timely.
• Drive Continuous Improvement.
