Job summary

LG Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to service major home appliances in the Newark, NJ metro area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain products at customer locations with emphasis on safety and quality service.

The role requires at least 1 year in a technical role, valid driver’s license, and EPA certification. LG offers comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and performance-based incentives for a dedicated technician.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role (Appliance repair preferred).
• Experience repairing major appliances (Refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, cleaning products).
• Experience in the use of tools, and diagnostic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Travel offsite to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG's equipment.
• Proper use of all safety equipment (PPE), vehicle and diagnostic tools provided by LG.
• Conducts technical diagnosis and performs specialized repairs on a variety of electronics and home appliances.
• Diagnose problems, assess the extent of the problem, document findings, make decisions to repair the product and/or replace parts.
• Immediately and accurately process paperwork and perform data entry upon completion of each job.
