Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Technician in Illinois to install, maintain, and service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems across the territory. You will perform installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and system overhauls, and communicate with customers as a first-line response.

Travel extensively, work varied shifts, and handle heavy lifting (up to 75 lb unassisted and 150 lb with help).

Qualifications

Requires A+ or CompTIA certification and relevant hands-on skills.
Experience with electromechanical equipment and service calls.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory.
Perform maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance work, and system overhauls.
Communicate with customers as a first-line response and identify appropriate solutions.
Travel extensively and drive several hours per day.
Work rotating, weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
Carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
Perform bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, hand work, and repetitive grasping and manipulation
