Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Technician in Charlotte, NC to install, maintain, and service electromechanical equipment, especially self-checkout systems, across an assigned territory.

Ideal candidates are prepared for travel, rotating shifts, lifting up to 75 lbs, and occasional holiday work; you will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Local candidate to specific geographic area.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and NCR fleet compliant driving record.
• PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with hardware and operating systems.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to travel and drive several hours per day.
• Rotating and weekend shifts.
• Flexible shift work with various start times including holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unaided and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to bend, squat, stand, sit, reach, and manipulate objects.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts in retail environments.
• Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
• Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory.
• Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls.
• Communicate with customers as a first-line response.
• Organize and triage customer issues and resolve problems proactively.
• Work with dedicated teachers, mentors, and coaches across service territories.
