Job summary

Cubic Transportation Systems in Boston, MA seeks a field maintenance coordinator responsible for overseeing repair and maintenance of equipment at field sites. You will plan, assign, and monitor technician work, analyze reliability data, and provide technical guidance to field personnel to ensure readiness and contract compliance.

Travel to customer sites is required; a valid driver’s license and strong communication, troubleshooting, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related field service experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating technical teams in field service.
• Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel to field sites and lift up to 50 pounds as needed to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field equipment set-up, installation, commissioning, repair and ongoing maintenance.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily work activities and technician assignments.
• Analyze corrective maintenance data and identify root causes to improve reliability.
• Provide technical guidance to field personnel using test equipment and schematics.
• Coordinate materials, supplies, tools, and equipment for installation and repair.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures and records for audit readiness.
• Support training programs related to testing, rework, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct quality reviews of maintenance activities to ensure compliance.
• Partner with engineering and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and consider modifications.
• Manage technician schedules, workload, performance and field service activities.
