Job summary

Cubic Transportation Systems in Concord, CA is seeking a Field Services Technician 3 to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment at field locations, supporting reliable system operation.

You will diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment using schematics and test equipment, coordinate with engineering and customer agencies, and mentor junior technicians. Travel domestically and internationally; DOT safety testing applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in electronic equipment maintenance or related field.
• Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred or equivalent training.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment at field locations.
• Diagnose, rework, repair, and maintain equipment using schematics, test equipment, and manuals.
• Interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams to support diagnostics and maintenance.
• Coordinate with engineering, subcontractors, and customer agencies to resolve issues.
• Mentor less experienced technicians and ensure safety procedures are followed.
