Job summary

NAVCO, a leading security integrator, is hiring a Service Specialist in Burr Ridge, IL. The role focuses on executing service work within budget, serving as the frontline client contact, and coordinating with dispatch to resolve open service calls.

The position requires five+ years of relevant experience, high school diploma, and knowledge of CCTV and access control systems. A valid driver's license is required and a professional appearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of basic electricity and networking concepts.
• Experience with CCTV surveillance and access control systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand light to medium construction.
• Familiarity with industry systems such as GE, DMP, Bosch, Pelco, and similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute service work orders within budget and time constraints.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients during service.
• Coordinate with national dispatch and internal teams to manage calls.
• Use inventory systems to track equipment and materials.
• Stage equipment and support warehouse inquiries as needed.
• Perform installation, cabling, and programming of security systems.
• Complete detailed service documentation including work orders and signatures.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on security systems.
• Troubleshoot CCTV and access control system issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls to maintain standards.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
