Imperial Surveillance, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Security System Technician to install and service CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Alarms and other low voltage systems in the Chicago, IL area.

This full-time role involves on-site work, using power tools and ladders, with training provided to customers to ensure system understanding. You will collaborate with other technicians, perform documentation, and maintain professional customer relationships while traveling as needed and upholding

Qualifications

• Two years of Alarm or low voltage experience required.
• IT/Networking: 2 years preferred.
• Lift/carry equipment weighing about 30lbs often; heavier as needed.
• Valid Driver’s License required; clean MVR.
• Travel ability required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Alarms and other low voltage equipment on site.
• Install cable management infrastructure (J Hooks, Conduit, Cable Trays, etc.).
• Repair security systems including wiring, labeling and mounting according to standards.
• On-site training with customers to ensure understanding of systems.
• Document service tickets and maintain professional customer relationships.

Imperial Surveillance is looking to add an Experienced Field Service Security System Technician to install and service systems in the greater Chicago, IL area. Imperial Surveillance is a full-service licensed security company that specializes in Video Surveillance, Access Control, Alarm Systems, Intercoms, Cyber Solutions, and other Low Voltage Systems. The Field Service Security System Technician position entails going onsite to install and maintain CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Alarms, and other low voltage systems. You will be working closely with other qualified technicians out in the field and may be required to work independently on occasion. As a technician you will be working in many different environments and be required to use power tools, lifts, ladders, and other equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• On site installation and repairing of CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Alarms and other low voltage equipment.
• Installation of cable management infrastructure including J Hooks, Bridal Rings, Conduit, Raceways, Cable Trays, Ladder Racks etc.
• Complete repair of security systems including running wires, labeling, connections/terminations, and mounting of equipment in a satisfactory manner for both customer and contractual requirements. (Fiber experience a plus)
• On site training with customers to ensure complete understanding of systems.
• Proper documentation of service tickets.
• Building and maintaining professional customer relationships.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years Alarm or low voltage experience is REQUIRED.
• IT/Networking: 2 years (Preferred).
  
• Technicians must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing about 30lbs often. At times, they may have to lift heavier equipment.
  
• Must have Valid Driver’s License (Required)
• Clean MVR Report (Required)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
• Must have Ability to travel as needed (Required)

Schedule:

• 40 hour per week (some weeks may require over time)
• 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri (May vary based on job location and travel requirements)
• 8am start time (May vary with site schedule)
