Job summary

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Canada is seeking a self-motivated individual for a role focused on on-site maintenance and support for business printers. This position requires familiarity with both KM and non-KM printers, as well as the ability to provide excellent customer service while managing a local territory.

The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in technical repairs, strong communication skills, and a robust understanding of networking. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer call assistance for KM MFP and printers.
• Travel locally to various customer sites while managing work volume.
• Provide sales support as required, advising sales on account problems.

Overview

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
• Performs full range of on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and customer call assistance on assigned products (KM MFP and printers & Non-KM printers HP, Lexmark, etc.). Includes equipment installation/de-installations, configuring and troubleshooting networking issues (Printing and Scanning) on Windows/Mac OS, loading print drivers, cloning files, transferring address books, and firmware upgrades.
• Travel locally on a daily basis to various customer sites while managing territory work volume and maintaining a high level of customer communication and satisfaction. Occasional travel outside of the local area for training.
• Communicate with management on customer or field issues; complete training classes and service those products with the ability to request assistance when necessary to meet customer demands.
• Follow proper call handling procedures while maintaining minimum productivity measures per internal core metrics.
• Maintain accurate ASL truck inventory for designated territory and train customers on basic printing, scanning and copying functions.
• Accurately and timely complete weekly timesheets and expense reports.
• Provide sales support as required (e.g., advising sales on account problems or service leads).

Responsibilities

• Must possess electrical/mechanical aptitude and be familiar with printing from common business applications and graphics programs.
• Microsoft Windows peer-to-peer and Mac OS client-side of server environments.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills; professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Excellent verbal and written communications; strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Understand territory parts budget and inventory control; basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Assist in creating equipment deployment guides; demonstrate ability to motivate, teach and train co-workers.
• Solid understanding of networking and diverse graphic software used in the marketplace; ability to convey technical data to customers and sales personnel in understandable terms.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Quark, Publisher.

• Pass background, security and drug test.
• Position requires use of personal car; eligible for vehicle maintenance compensation program; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

For Internal Applicants

• Konica Minolta internal certifications: Outward Associate, Outward Professional, Outward Expert (Office Solutions, Network, Color), KMBS Controller (Emperon), Classroom.
• Minimum of High School diploma or GED required; Technical School training preferred.
• 4+ years experience related to technical/repair of business equipment.
• Certified on N+ or equivalent; additional IT certifications or training are a plus.
